For drilling metals, you should be fine with the titanium or even the good quality steel drill bits. The diamond bits are great for stone, glass and ceramic but tend to clog up on metals [which are softer then the stone, etc]. By the way, you should almost always use water with the diamond bits to reduce wear and get them to last longer.
If you are drilling lots of coins, you may want to use a drill press to speed production.

I found a metal punch tool that punches 6 sizes of holes without drilling. Works great to punch holes in sheet and coins. It's an aviators tool! I purchased it from "Tool America " off of Ebay.
$20.00 plus shipping.
Good luck!

The 15-Piece TITANIUM Drill Bit Tool Set, Fractional, Numbered & Lettered Sizes is one of the more trendy drill bits sets that gets picked up because of its self worth. Technically it is an outstanding tool value and most-popular drill bit set around. Made of incredibly hard Titanium on high-speed steel shaft it makes for both sharpness and durability. It comes in all the sizes that you need - every fit from A - Z, #1 to # 60 and from 1/16" to 1/2" sizes. Packed in a secure-fit ABS case that keeps the different parts and accessories organized & easy to identify, it has an inherent value in a complete, essential tool set that is well liked by professionals and hobbyists alike.
