Diamond or titanium

Hi All!

A friend asked me to make her a charm bracelet out of some old US Coins her Grandmother left her. What type of drill bits are best, diamond or titanium or '>

For drilling metals, you should be fine with the titanium or even the good quality steel drill bits.  The diamond bits are great for stone, glass and ceramic but tend to clog up on metals [which are softer then the stone, etc]. By the way, you should almost always use water with the diamond bits to reduce wear and get them to last longer.
If you are drilling lots of coins, you may want to use a drill press to speed production.

I found a metal punch tool that punches 6 sizes of holes without drilling. Works great to punch holes in sheet and coins. It's an aviators tool! I purchased it from "Tool America " off of Ebay.
