Hi.  I am looking for some expert advise on making a necklace using sterling silver by the foot chain.

I am trying to make a pendant necklace to drape down the back.  This is the easy part.  It looks great however the front is a problem.

Tradtional necklaces won't work as the clasp, toggle end up showing in the front.

I was thinking that chain by the foot is the answer.  Problem is I don't know how to finish off the ends.  I tried using a crimp tube but I now have a little loop at each end.  I can attach charms but I don't want to make it too cost prohibitive.

Any one have any ideas for me?

Thanking you in advance!

I've had this very same issue with the newer long chain designs- These little findings work wonders:

Crimp tubes with jump ring

IF you are using a small enough chain to pass through the crimp tube then these should be the correct size for you- another thing to consider- using crimps on chain can weaken the links- try to make sure you are using a soldered chain whenever possible- soldered chain can be crimped (gently of course) without too much of a risk to the integrity of the chain.

This will work- promise!  '<img'>

And Good luck!  I made a "back" necklace out of seed beads for a bride with a backless gown about three years ago- it was a smash hit!
