I was wondering how I determine pricing on necklaces I sell?  Should I sell some and adjust the price according to how they sell, or does someone have an effective formula for calculating a piece of jewelry's worth?

Also, are there any suggestions as to where I might start to sell my pieces?  I figure you can't go wrong with craft shows?  And what is the going rate for a craft show booth?

Thanks again.

If you live in or near a large city, several corporations or high rise buildings housing several companies can be very profitable.

Ask your friends, stop by various buildings and inquire. Many have quarterly or monthly craft shows in their lobbies or cafeterias. Find out who is the organizer of such events, and if you've just missed a show, then obtain a list of the next ones. I often leave my card or brochure, and a pair of earrings for the person in charge...they WILL remember you, and will appreciate the gift!

I am in the Houston, TX area and shows range from ฟ-๑ per booth. (Except for the Nutcracker Craft Show that supports the Houston Ballet. The booth fees are about Ū,000 and the entries are by jury, alittle above my experience level) However, some places just ask for a gift bag or basket that they auction off for charity. (Make sure to throw in your card or brochure...you never know—your next big client could be the winner of the silent auction!)

Home parties have worked well for me...they usually last only about three hours around lunchtime, it's a relaxed atmosphere, and you usually get fed! And...no booth fees!
