hi, i am new to beading, and just have a quick question about spacer beads. one, do you have to use them in between every bead? if so, do you have to use specific 'spacer beads'? i wanted to use crystal beads as spacers but i could only find 5mm ones! i was hoping for 2 or 3mm so they didnt stand out over the other beads! also, when using pearls do you have to knot in between them or do you use spacer beads? and last...do you have to use silk thread for pearls or can you use beading wire? if someone could help me out that would be great. thanks so much

Hi Elektra,

You can use silk thread, or beading wire.
If you use silk thread, finish the ends with bead tips.
If you use beading cable, finish the ends with crimp beads.

Crimp beads are easier than knotting inside the bead tips (can you tell I'm not good at knotting?), but silk cord is more flexible, and may help a lightweight necklace drape better.

And - your other questions are answered in your other post:
