Hi Gabrielasc,
I'm sorry this response took so long!!

I made this bracelet based off of instructions that were in the January 2005 issue of Art Jewelry Magazine.  The name of the article was "Woven Wire & Stone" by KRISS SILVA.  I think it's best to try to get you the illustrated copy of instructions rather than just relating them to you- this technique is called the herringbone technique, and although it's simple once you understand it- it's a little difficult to explain with out the illustrated instructions.

Do you have access to that issue of Art Jewelry?  You can also request back issues at www.artjewelrymag.com
Of course we'd be happy to fax you a copy of instructions if you have access to a fax number.

The only variation from the Art Jewelry instructions and the bracelet on our supplement cover is that you have to adapt the amount of wire you use for the bead size.  For the beads in this bracelet I used one foot of wire for each link.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Mary,

Thanks for your response. I already signed up into Art Jelwery web site (www.artjewelrymag.com) and I checked in the online projects but I couldn't find this specific one.

I am from México and I am not sure how long will take to request this back issue and if can be possible. Anyway, not sure if would be better/easy for you to send me an scanned image of the instructions insteand of send me a fax. My email is gabrielasc@gmail.com.

Thanks !

We can't scan and post pages from a magazine (it would be a copyright violation).  However, we will see what we can do, to provide instructions for this project or one like it, without infringing on Art Jewelry Magazine's rights, or the author of the piece that inspired ours.

Because the shape and sizes of our beads were different than those in the article, Mary did have to do quite a bit of experimentation with scrap wire, to find the proper length for the wire pieces to use for our diamond-shaped beads.  This would need to be done for any other new size/shape of bead also.
