I am interested in making the Copper Forest Necklace designed by Mary Morton and Ann ? but can't figure out how to make the seed bead clusters.  I would like to order the supplies but only if I can get a little more detail.  Is there a project sheet on this one? Thank you

Shortmom,
In order to make the seed bead tubes, the particular stitch you are looking for is called a "peyote stitch".

Go to:www.beadandbutton.com/bnb/default.aspx?c=a&id=105" target="_blank">www.beadandbutton.com/bnb/default.aspx?c=a&id=105

Bead&Button shows a great example of how to make a flat peyote stitch with even count.

For the small tubes I strung 7 string beads (the first bead is to hold everything in place, but is not used for the tube bead.  Keep some string hanging from this bead to use for tying off the finished bead). You will do 6 rows.

The longer tubes are 28 sead beads(29 including starter bead) and 6 rows.

Finishing the tube bead:
The beads on the ends interlock when placed together to form the tube. Weave your thread in and out of these beads, zig-zag style, to lock them together.

Hope this helps.  There are lots of online topics on the peyote stitch if you get confused.  The most difficult part is the first two to three rows...then everything starts making sense.

Good luck and let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Regards,
Ann Roles
