I have a clear green stone. I dropped it by accident on my tile floor and it chipped a liitle off the side. I would like to know if there is anything I can use to shape the edge of the stone? '<img'> Thanks, Eileen

Well that would depend on the level of quality you would like.
Also the type of 'cut'.  If it is a cabochon [a rounded dome shape] you could have someone repolish it for you. If it is a faceted stone, it could be reworked but this requires more work. It is worth knowing what the material is. If it is emerald, it might be worth having it reworked; if it is glass, it might be more cost effective to find a source for stones like it.
I would start with my local rock hound shop or lapidary club. These are a wonderful group of craftspeople who dig, find and polish minerals and stones.  One of them should be able to help.  This should not cost too much.
If you want to just get the sharpness off the edge, the silicon carbide sand papers will work, I would use a 1000 grit or finer and I would use it wet.  Use care as this will scratch the surface of the stone
