I've seen them, but I don't know where to get them.
I've never seen them on-line, yet.
You might be able to find one at one of the mall shops that just sell "accessories".  Since long hair is actually in style now, it seems they shouldn't be too hard to find, but "fashion accessories" from those kinds of stores are pretty random.  So... about all I can do is wish you good luck!

If anyone else has ideas, please post them!

:icon_21:   Here's an item that's a lot like what you're describing..."Hair Claws".  I saw them this weekend at a crafts fair.  As the maker says, "holds tight!"  (I'm bald, but they worked very well on my girlfriend's hair!)  Contact Donna at (509) 684-9186 or email clawwoman3@aol.com.  She's located in Washington State.

I am looking for a hair pick / hair pins  I will try to describe it.

I lost mine - it was made for Jones New York.  I looks somewhat like this: it is made in plastic, approx 5 inches long  Two arms joined at top.  I guess you could call it a 2 prong hair pin.  Each arm approx 1 inch from each other.  It looks like the letter U with longer arms.  Or like 2 chopsticks joined at one end with a loop.
I had this item for a few years and recently lost it.  I am try to find a new one. I thought you could help.  I could tie up my very long hair - somewhat in a twist and could hold it in place with this pick type item.  This item was great for holding long hair. HELP
I really want to locate a new one.

I did have one more idea.

I have seen that type of hair stick in nice hand-carved wood at gallery/ upscale crafts stores.
So perhaps try those locally, or search for things like "art handcrafts wood gifts" on-line.
