I have just been viewing the R&T page re the different shipping costs and prices but am a little confused. I don't know anything about shipping from the US, I live in Australia.

What would be the most cost efficient postage method to choose? I can see USPS is a lot less expensive than UPS Express and only takes maybe a week longer to arrive. Is USPS only cheaper cos it takes that little bit longer or is it something else?

I am after a method that is not too expensive but will arrive within a week or so. Also one that is insured and will arrive safely. Would anyone have any recommendations?

P.S. I see some methods can only be used for 5lb and under, my order would probably be over this.

Thank you,

Our shipping manager suggests using Post Office Express Mail (USPS).  It's fairly inexpensive, fairly fast, insured and trackable (approx. $36.00/5lb, 2-5 days).

Another option would be USPS Air Mail.  These shipments are less expensive but would take a few more days to reach you and are not trackable (approx. $32.75/5lb, 4-10 days).

Of course, if you really need your goods super fast, UPS Express guarantees delivery in 1-2 days to anywhere, but the service costs more (approx. $80.00/5lb).

And to answer your question, USPS is cheaper simply because the service is usually not as fast as UPS.  (UPS guarantees delivery in 1-2 days)

Does this help?
