Hi All,
Is there a specific dremel bit that you can use instead of filing a messy solder joint?
I remember seeing an "old timer" using what he called a bullet on the end of a dremel. He said that they were used for making false teeth. Is there something easier to get hold of than this?

A good quality craft, art or power tool supply house should have a comprehensive display of tools for dremal applications. I wouldn't think the tool you need would be too hard to find.

I'm piggy-backing my question on this topic. I'm thinking of getting back into chain maille and since I now have a dremel, can the rings be cut with this tool and what bit would you suggest? When I was first doing this ages ago, I used wire cutters. I'd rather not do that this time around (but I do have a helluva grip!

I have seen a tool set for making up jump rings which comes with a device to hold a coil of wire and a slit down the side to allow a small circular blade to cut the rings. It was in a wire bending and chain making magazine.
Any way - you can get smallsaw blades for a Dremel - you would need to test them for cutting silver. The traditional approach is to use a jewelers saw - there are some tricks to this. You should be able to find some of them in basic metalsmithing articles or books
