Hi,
I ran across something labeled "Blue Coral".I have several strings of them.I don't know much about coral and I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about them. Each
bead ranges from about 3x5mm to 7x5mm.They are a slate and tan/off white in color and the strands are 24".
Thanks,
Beverly

Good morning, Beverly.
The blue coral we carry is a naturally blue-gray sponge coral, almost "slate" colored like you describe (though I'm not sure if the tan/off-white beads on the strand would also be considered "blue coral" - perhaps just another color of sponge coral?). We have a pretty extensive entry on coral in our
Gemstone Beads Index
, and you might find the type of information you're seeking in there. Blue coral is one of the eight types listed. Your beads sound very pretty!
