How much to cut off end of wire

I'm new to jewelry making and my biggest problem is when I finish the bracelet or necklace I always have a small amount of the wire sticking out from the crimp bead. Is there a better way to cut off the excess wire. I use a good pair of cutters and get as close to the crimp as I can but I oalways have excess which you can feel when wearing the piece?

Hi Sharon,
There really is no tool or method out there that trims beadalon closer to the crimp. I usually don't recommend cutting next to the crimp, because it can weaken the strength of your piece (and you run the risk of cutting both strands).
I prefer to leave half an inch or so of cable, tucking it into the last couple of beads. If your strand of beads is tight enough, it should stay put- but if you are worried or having a problem with the end popping out, dab a bit of glue in one of the beads. Hope this helps!
Let us know if you need anything else.
