I would like to know how to search the R&T site to locate beads that have a 5mm hole.
Have tried without success.

That is a tough search term. I know some tricks I can try, and can give you some links once I work the bugs out.

Are you looking for any particular material or style?

These metal beads are technically bails, but are designed to fit over 6mm cord or chain. Their main problem from a bead perspective, is they have an extra loop.
I'll look for more, and edit this post to add links as I find them.

These hand-made dichroic glass beads have a 4-5.5mm hole ... in other words, they vary.  Some have a 5mm hole, others have a bit larger, most are a bit smaller.

Many of our gemstone donuts (20mm and up) have holes 5mm and larger.... but the donuts aren't technically "beads."
If this style works for you, I can give you some Swarovski Crystal Link/Donut/Ring "beads" links as well.

Try this one: These bamboo-print barrel beads have a 5-7mm hole. Again, they are handmade, and the hole size may vary, but most of them should fit.

Also, try these brand-new 14mm wood (and horn) beads. They have 5mm holes (but may vary +/- 10%).

Not all, but many of the beads described as "Calypso" have holes around 5mm in diameter.

Try http://shop.rings-things.com/cart/pc/showSearchResults.asp?VA=1&ProdSort=&customfield=0&SearchValues=&exact=0&keyword=calypso%20bead
