Hi all, my names pete,

I have joined the forum as i want to start making some jewelry wlth my daughter who is ten..she is very much in to her crafts and loves making things. she now wants to do braclets for her friends and family for birthdays ect, we then talked about doing some to sell on a little stall at bootsales and markets to make some extra money towards a holiday,
I have looked at loads of differant internet sites to try and find the best place and price to buy all the things that we need to get started but there is so many! so i thought well the best people to ask are the people that make them themselfs  grinning
So if anyone can help us with some advice on where to get the best and cheapest from then that would be great.

ps she wants to do the glass bead bracelets as they look a lot nicer and more expencive lol

Thanks chloe & pete

We have tons of free project ideas in our Design Gallery, each with links to the parts, and tips from the Designer.
Also, some nice basic technique sheets, with how-to's for stringing with beading cable, and other basic jewelry-making tips.

We even have some older (archived) jewelry project sheets that have good ideas and techniques but might include some discontinued parts or outdated styles.  Check out the strechy bracelets and necklaces in that section, for some easy, fun ideas.

We have 100s and 100s of Glass beads.
Czech glass 'E' beads are bargain priced, and come in dozens of great colors. They are a a bit small, but not as tiny as seed beads, so are easier to use.  They are a bit too basic all on their own, but can be quickly dressed up by adding a few faceted Chinese glass beads to your designs.
