Hi, cvsharkey,

We're sorry.  We learned about the competing bead show after booking our space & time in Oakland, unfortunately.  Don't know if anyone here knew about the football game, but maybe we'll want to post our tentative bead show schedules long in advance, right here on the board(?), to invite helpful responses from our very knowledgeable customers.  I regret your frustrating experience trying to reach us in Oakland, and have contacted our Customer Service department to make sure you're taken care of.

Best from

Well, I tried, I really tried to attend the Oakland trunk show 11/17.  BUT those Oakland Raider fans are rabid & I got as close as the driveway in front of the Holiday Inn parking lot--and the Raider Nation wouldn't let me turn into the parking lot!  Mind you, the game didn't start until 4pm and I got there promptly @ 1pm. The place was a madhouse.  May I suggest that next time you pick a trunk show weekend in the San Fran area you don't (a) Book a Saturday show in San Mateo when BeadExtravaganza 2002 is pulling the crowd to Oakland for the day, and (b) not book a hotel for your Oakland show that is on the same side of the freeway as the Oakland Coliseum on a day the Raiders are playing a home game!  (Had you been in any of the hotels along Hegenburger Road on the west side of highway 880 there would not have been access problems.) I was holding an order to purchase at the show.  And sadly, had to turn back after circling the Holiday Inn to no avail.
