Asking for input from as many as want to answer?
Which stitch is best for a new comer to use in weaving---
the two primary ones that i have seen is square and peyote--Others or one of thse two-- Thank you for your input

It depends on what you want to create.
I'm partial to peyote stitch (aka gourd stitch), but it's not all-purpose.

Square stitch is a strong and simple to learn stich. It is a substitute for looms, which can be expensive. It also gives a clean edge. So I think Square stitch is an easier one to follow.
