Image Transfer Paper

I am about to start experimenting with Image Transfer Solution to put some images on metal. Does anyone know if the Image Transfer paper has to be used or can you use any type of semi-glossy paper? Are there any brands you recommend? Thank you!

We've tried a few varieties, and haven't found a favorite brand, but definitely prefer semi-gloss paper over regular typing/computer paper.
Magazine images work well.

Thanks Polly. Do you think a photo paper would work or would that be too thick? A few places sell ITS paper with the solution but I don't see that option or that paper on the Ring's & Things site.

When we tried a thick glossy paper, we didn't like it -- too much paper to have to clean off.
But the paper we tried wasn't specifically photo paper (although it works great for photos).
Thin glossy paper (like magazine paper) seemed the best, but might be hard to find in reams. I'll see if anyone in the warehouse has a favorite brand & type.
(And of course anyone reading is more than welcome to chime in with favorites or things to avoid!)
