When firing silver clay in a kiln could I place the silver clay on a Hard Ceramic Soldering Board?

You could use one of those but it would not be my 1st choice - a couple of reasons
1] the repeated firings may break this type of board down [faster then is worth it]
2] I am not 100% sure but I think that the fiber boards [R&T# 69-183] at $*.10 a piece are less expensive than the boards you have pictured
3] these fiber boards definitely stand up to firing over a number of years

Hope this helps

Thanks Metalman, I had not thought of the effect of repeated heating on the ceramic board. Would a metal soldering screen work in a kiln? Like the ones they use on the SpeedFire!" Cone System and gas stove top firing?

I have used metal kiln furniture a few times - they tend to break down rather quickly. Stainless ought to last longer but I have used those fiber boards for years - once you have a couple - you're not going to be replacing them anytime soon.
