Hi all seeing that this is my second post on these fine forums, i will be only posting a few examples of my work, and will not overdo it smile

There i only posted four examples as i do not want to flood the board, or make it look like i'm only self promoting.

Hi Jazz,

In steamp37, what is the bottom disk made of? Is it a sheet of metal that you've textured and shaped, or is it fabric? It looks like brass, but there are little threads peeking out from the back, which make me curious.

I love the little book (steamp26), and was considering making something like that.
I was planning on making mine so it could open and close, but a hinge seems like a LOT of work, so I haven't started.  Your gently folded (and hand-engraved?) book is a nice style the eliminates the hinge, and has a nice open shape.

Wow Polly you have a good eye for detail !....brass disc itself is made from brass, the back of it i put some black smooth leather (what is sticking out a bit on the sides).

And about the hinge, never really thought of it to be honest, i just wanted an elf like look something like an ancient lore book kinda feel, but i think that making a hinge could work, you may have just given me a new idea Cheesy
Very well, i accept your challenge !....mwahahahaha.

I finished a piece of jewelry with my favorite new components (the mixed watch parts)!  I should have a Tips & Techniques sheet up for it next week.

Yes, I think so. They are the very last 2 items from the original list of gears. But the list is longer now than it was a couple weeks ago!

We now have brass gear blanks in stock, with copper gears coming sometime this summer.
My favorites are definitely the #44-700 and #44-701 watch parts. Tim Holtz idea-ology sprocket gears are nice too. I haven't used them yet, but others here have:
* Beadpunk - Earrings
* G-ears - Earrings
* Steampunk Sprocket - Disk-and-Loop Bracelet (This always gets lots of comments when it is worn.)
* The North Star - Necklace (I really like the centerpiece and colors on this necklace.)

And .... more new gears!!!  buttrock  Now we have some very cool wooden gear connectors/charmslove  Some are exactly the same shape as the copper and brass. And I also really like the style with the 6 round holes around the edges.
