Hi, skay,

Thanks for a good question.  As a rule of thumb, it's good if you can provide us with business ID; for our US customers, that usually takes the form of a resale tax number or a business license.

The equivalent ID from Canada would surely be enough for us, but I don't know the exact terminology used up there.  I'll try to get someone else to follow up with more information!

Hi Joysan,

Minimum order:  On orders under USโ, we have a Ŭ service charge.

Shipping Prices:
We charge actual shipping (what UPS, FedEx, etc. charges) on all orders.  For some shipping estimates and method comparisons, you can check page 233<a> of our catalog.
Need help picking the best shipping method? Call in your order @ 1-800-366-2156.  Once you're done placing an order, our computer system tallies up the weight, which helps our phone ordertakers give you a good estimate for the various shipping methods.

Stock Pricing:  Prices for all our items are listed in our catalog (both the print version and the online version).  Prices for each item are also listed in the online store.

The catalog pages list out the total price:
   9.25/GR    70.00/10 GR    575.00/100 GR

The online store lists the price breakdowns this way:
  1-9 Gross   9.25 / Gross
  10-24         7.00
  25-49         6.50
  50-99         6.25
  100+          5.75

(GR = 1 gross = 12 dozen = 144 pieces)

Our order line is 1-800-366-2156.

What else would be good to answer here?

Thanks for asking - that is a very good question, one that we ought to have a complete answer to, just lying around where people can easily find it!
So, we will get that answer together for you.<p>I'm going to ask Kurt Madison, our Silver Clay expert, to answer this.  I think he is out & about for a few days, so it will be next week before he sees your question.<p>In the meantime, check out this posting for a list of useful tools (both homemade, and ones that we sell):
<a href="http://www.rings-things.com/cgi-bin/board/topic.cgi?forum=8&topic=12<p>And" target="_blank">http://www.rings-things.com/cgi-bin....2<p>And this for kilns & other firing methods:
<a href="http://www.rings-things.com/cgi-bin/board/topic.cgi?forum=8&topic=21" target="_blank">http://www.rings-things.com/cgi-bin....opic=21 <p>ooops, when I cut & pasted that last link, I realized that you already posted towards the end of the tool forum, so you've already read both of those.... so even though you don't need those links, I'm leaving them for future readers.<p>I will ask be asking Kurt to post his ideas in the ACS forum:

Please let me know exactly what you need in order for me to be able to buy from you.  I am in Canada.  What business recognition do you need from me?  Is there some special jeweler I.D or designation I should be aware of?  If so, can you put me in the right direction of obtaining all that you need before you will sell to me?

Thanks!!

Thanks, Polly!!
As someone new....with a tendency to go hog wild....are there any "MUST HAVES" for getting started with the silver clay?  As someone else said, I'm on disability and have limited funds (until my business takes off, anyway!).  I would hate to waste money on something that I wouldn't need only to get ready to make my first project and find that I'd failed to order something important.

Does all of that make sense?!?

Let's see - Must haves for Art Clay.
1] a plastic roller for rolling out sheets of clay
2] some of the teflon sheets to work on
3] clay form and syringe form of ACS
4] A method for firing your work
5] miscellaneous tools to texture and work the clay
6] one of the books or videos so you knoe how to get started.
Let me know if this helps.
