Hi, Up until recently I have been working for a jewelry manufacturer and making my own jewelry on the side.
I am planning on scheduling my 2nd home party.

Does anyone have any input as to the best time of year and day.  I have found that weekend nights do not draw as many people and I am thinking of either a Saturday or Sunday day event.

Thanks!

Near holidays is a good point.  Near Christmas, many people are looking for ways to make a hand-crafted gift.

Also, you might be surprised by how many guys like to make a piece of jewelry for their sweetie for Valentine's day.  (The concept of a home party might not appeal to them ... you'd definitely want to come up with a name that caught their attention in a more positive way. Maybe some type of Workshop.)

Also - Memory Jewelry is currently a hot topic!  With Mod-Podge or Image Transfer Solution (depending on your method), and picture frame charms you could help people create some pretty wonderful things for Graduation presents, Mother's day, or Grandmother's day.  Memory jewelry is a little tougher for people to make without a little instruction (or a lot of trial and error) -- so although it would be more work than just helping people string or do head & eye pins, it could be very special.

I would not schedule a show around early summer, because most people have kids who are getting out and going on vacation. Do not have them near a holiday or state fair because you will have to compete against them.  The best time of the year is in the fall when people are getting ready for Christmas and mid to late spring when people are going outside and want some excitement!  How you doing well~~
