Hi All

I am looking to find a site or sites where you can get royalty free images. I do usually use istockphoto.com but they have gotten expensive. I like to use these for resin images. Anyone have any suggestions?

MANY THANKS!

Thanks to Jill @livngoodjewelry on Twitter, I can steer you to Google Images search.

Here's what to do:

"advanced image search" => "usage rights" => "labeled for reuse..."

I tried this out, and it appears to give you only the images you're allowed to freely use.  Good luck!

Creativecommons.org is a good place. This site is used by artists, photographers etc, to license their work. There are tons of royalty-free images available just pay attention to the licensing. Some will ask that you give them credit in some fashion (not monetary - just make sure their name is listed with their photo or accredited in some manner).

And our graphic designer just told me about another one that is good to use. Here is what she said:

If you are ever looking for an image to use in a project that is copyright free, the Wiki Commons is a great place to start:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

All of their images are freely usable.

Their category browsing is a little lame, but the search function works well.

For example, searching for "John Tenniel" gives you all the Alice in Wonderland images on one page:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/John_Tenniel

or...Toulouse-Lautrec
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Henri_de_Toulouse-Lautrec

or...whom or whatever you want
