Hi!  I'm new here and I love the various ideas on earrings displays.  I would like to try the screen or fabric idea (in a frame) but how would I tag the earrings with the metal content of the ear wires, etc. and the price?  The examples that I've seen look so clean and they really show off the earrings but I don't see a way to gracefully tag the earrings without ruining the display.  Any suggestions?  Obviously, it's been done before, right?  Any help is appreciated.

How varied is your earring metal content??  Do you mean for ear wires, etc.?  If you use only two metals for findings (say, sterling silver and....brass??) you could display silver on one screen with a little sign saying that, and another screen with brass findings, etc.

Or you could post one sign in your booth that says something like, "I use only sterling silver or 14k gold-filled findings in my jewelry."

If you normally write up an individual tag for each pair of earrings (with something like "Rose quartz beads with sterling silver ear wires"), you could store the tags in a little "pocket" or tray behind/next to the screen, and pull it out quickly as customers buy each pair....

Or you can just let people ask.  It makes a great conversation starter!  Once people actually ask you a question about a piece, they've given you permission to start selling.

Hope this helps,

The screen idea would work best for designs that are all-one-price on that screen, or on that section of the screen.

You might use ribbon or slats to divide the screen into quarters, or use a small-ish window that was already divided into 4 panes -- this would give you 4 different price and/or materials groupings.
