Recycled Silver? Yes it is!!
Somewhere along the line, I had heard that the source of the silver in Art Clay was from recycling processes, possibly from the photography industry, so I checked on that.
Following is the response I got from Jackie Truty, CEO of Art Clay World:
"It is, and it IS! Having seen, with my own eyes, the huge rooms of exposed photographic and diagnostic film, from which the pure silver is recovered, I understand the importance of stressing the environmentally friendly philosophy Aida Chemical Industries has. It has been and continues to be a strong point raised when comparing the two brands of metal clay currently on the market."
We are pleased to know this about a product we carry.
