This year, the Art & Creative Materials Institute certified Art Clay Silver products as Non Toxic.  This is great news.  We are looking forward to the upcoming shipments from AIDA which will have the ACMI Certificate Seals on the Art Clay series. Art Clay is the only metal clay certified in the industry to date.
The Art & Creative Materials Institute, Inc. (ACMI) is an international association, recognized as the leading authority on art and craft materials. Founded in 1940, ACMI was organized to assist its members in providing the public with art and craft materials for children and artists that are "NON-TOXIC". Of the over 60,000 art and craft material formulations evaluated to date, 100% of the children's products and 85% of those meant for the adult artist are certified as non-toxic. All products in the program undergo extensive toxicological evaluation and testing before they are granted the right to bear the ACMI certification seals.
If you are planing to teach at any public school or institution, you can present Art Clay as very safe product to use for children or general public. smile
