Paste, let it dry and clean it up and it will be ready to fire.

I broke a ring before firing. I put lots of time in molding it.
Can I fixed this with paste? or is it better to just start over?

Metalfairy has it there.  Couple of notes:
1] Paste and syringe clay are a bit thinner then palin clay, therefore you have to watch out for a little bit of shrinkage as you do your repair.
2] Depending on the damage of the break, I use a small amount of clay and a dental spatula to 'spackle' a crack or break - this fills well, and I sand it out before I fire.
3]  If you have something cracked or broken after firing, use the Oil Paste product - this works great and matches the silver just fine.
