It is tough.  My favorite tool is a stick burnisher.  The points are small and you can get into all those small spaces.
R & T cat. #69-102 - this is a set of two, in different diameters.  A feature that I find useful is that they are straight, like a pen.
Hope this helps

I assume you mean that very small double headed stainless brush [R&T cat #69-113, in the summer supplement]
A brush like that would help clean the small areas and give a brushed effect to the finish, but it won't 'burnish' the area.
Burnishing really involves compacting the molecules of the surface closer together, this hardens the surface as well as allowing a high polish in the burnished area.
That said, the brushed effect is one that I like alot.  Those brushes are great for texturing the Art Clay before you fire it as well.

Hi,

Can anyone advise on how to burnish tiny corners and hard-to-reach areas? Appreciate any advice.

Thanks!

What about the two-headed brush?

Another tool that is great with Art Clay when I am burnishing is the rubber block. I use this as an anvil sort of tool. It is useful for supporting fired or unfired ACS when you are burnishing. The mass of it is solid but the surface is flexible enough that your work won't crack as you work it [be gentle now!!].
The block is a 2" cube of a medium hard rubber, R&T# 69-124
