Karin Thai Silver on BeadStyle cover

Never underestimate the power of the press!!!
We were pleasently surprised to find our Karen Thai white silver beads in large interesting shapes on the July 2008 BeadStyle magazine cover.
We knew they were featured in an article but we didn't know the design received "cover girl" treatment.
Within a few days we sold completely out of the shapes of silver beads. Our supplier in Thailand is making more but it will be a few weeks before they arrive.
These large hollow beads are gorgeous! Several, however, were slow sellers. We hadn't reordered some in over a year. What happened with silver market in the last year? A jump from something like 11 an ounce up to current 17 an ounce. Some of the bead prices will have to jump when we get the new shipment in, sad to say.
You can see more at
BeadStyle Features
We DO have some cash and carry stock of similar, flatter beads that MAY work for some of Bead Style readers. These now show up with a search for the beads. Scroll down past the out of stock items.

The good news here? The substitute beads are flatter and a little lighter. It will take less of them and may cost a little less than the ones pictured on the Bead Style cover. Our designers are working on some variations of the cover design using the alternate beads. Stay tuned!
