I got some of the prerolled fimo that you slice and bake . I can't seem to make a hole without the fimo cracking and splitting. I am warming it in my hands first. any ideas

I have had the same problem with the pre-rolled canes. The only thing I found is to be patient and thoroughly warm it by rolling it in your hands before slicing it.  I don't remember where I read about this but one woman said she puts her clay in a plastic bag and puts it under her sleeping cat to warm it. I tried this with my dogs but they were too active. :wink:

A heating pad may work....although you would want to have it on a low heat setting and I would test it first with a small amount. I'm afraid it may get too hot and cook the clay.

hi,

before working with any poly clay, i put in empty pill bottle or film roll, and put in my pocket for a time, the container keeps the roll from losing shape and my own body heat warms the clay.  Also, before i open a new package i also put it in my jeans pocket for a while....no muss no fuss and warmed and ready to go....

Only work with warm clay !!!!
  Wear loose pants and use FULL packs instead of a belt!
