It seems that the interest in Art Clay has died out - there are few new discussions about the topic.  Is it that people 1)are not willing to put out the money to try it out, or 2) it has it lost favor in the jewelry world, or 3) do we all know more than a forum can add to our knowledge?

Hi, leezimmerley,

Not to bloviate  ':O'  but it seems to me there's still lots of interest in metal clay of all kinds.  Art Clay Silver is going strong, as are other kinds of silver clay.

I'm with you, I'd love to see more ACS questions and tips getting posted here.  This forum has been a great learning resource!

From what I've seen, there is more "generic metal clay" interest going on.  People are teaching metal clay techniques without as much special emphasis on wether it is PMC or ACS.

On our own forum, it's a bit quiet right now for 2 reasons:
 - Kurt (aka Metalman) is focussing a lot of attention on some exhibitions he is working on.
 - Our forum is harder to register for, than it used to be. We were getting a lot of spam registrants ... the kind that post links to all types of tacky and/or phishing sites.  So we hand-process every registrant now (weeding out 100's of spammers per week).  But we only have tech staff on weekdays, so new visitors on the weekend get neglected until Monday morning. Having just learnt how to use ACS and just about to start making things without teacher looking over my shoulder lol I hope the interest hasnt died out.

I make silver jewellery and dichroic glass nuggets so I want to combine all the things I have learnt with wire, sheet and glass with clay to produce bracelets earrings and rings

Might be asking questions soon ....

Thanks for looking

You know, it has been slow as far as questions, etc. and that's been for more then a few months.
I am not sure why - maybe we are all in the studio getting after it more.

My confession:  I have been busy teaching and lots of things so my responses have been a bit slow.  I will work on that.

On the other hand - I need something to respond to.
So  let's see

The KiltlikeTumblerKit1 can be used for Art Clay and silver.
