Hi,
Which style of beads do you want to use?
We have small porcelain beads on page 99, and base metal letter beads on page 122.
The porcelain beads are
3.75/ 1/2 GR 6.00/GR 50.00/10 GR.
All these prices are "per one letter".
1 GR = 144 pieces; 1/2 GR = 72 pieces
So your best bet would be to order:
H: 1 GR (144)
A: 1 GR
P: 2 GR (288)
I: 1 GR
N: 1 GR
E: 1 GR
S: 2 GR
You would be able to make 144 bracelets this way, with a bead cost of about ๆ.
You'll also need some type of stringing cord. The easiest thing to string them on, especially for children to wear, is the Gossamer Floss at the bottom of page 19. This stretchy cord can simply be knotted, and does not require a clasp.
For 144 bracelets, you would need about 8" x 144= 1152 inches, or 96 feet. The 25 meter spool for just Ů.20 should take care of that fine.
You might want some other small spacer beads to fill up the rest of the braclet. Or, you could just let the letter beads "float" around the bracelet.
If you use other beads, I'd recommend 4mm round glass beads (page 168), or the Japanese seed beads page 162.
If you're interested in the seed beads or round glass beads, just let me know on this bulletin board and I'll figure out the number of inches (or number of bags) you'll need to finish up the project that way.
p.s. 7" is a pretty standard adult bracelet length. If you want to finish the bracelet with other beads, please let me know the age range of the kids so I can do a good # of bead estimate based on slightly smaller wrists.
Have a great weekend!
