Hi,
I have been making beaded necklaces/earrings for a year and would now like to learn more about silversmithing, what magazines or books would you recomend for me? Thank you so much~

I am a big fan of Tim McCreight's book - 'The Complete Metalsmith' [R&T# 62-010] A great place to start.
I almost always recommend you try to find a hands on workshop or class for that first run [especially for soldering]
This might be at a local college, university or community college. You might need to go to a jewelry/silversmithing summer workshop [these are great fun btw]
If you are having trouble finding this sort of thing, approach local jewelers at crafts fair and local shops and see if you can find yourself a mentor.
Write to us here also if you need some more input.
