Hi everyone!

I was hoping someone might have a resource they could share with me.  I want to have a few custom cutters made to my specifications and I'm not having any luck finding anyone interested enough to help me... '<img'>

I posted this question over at another forum so some of you might have seen it there, too.  But, I'm hoping enough new/different people are here and can help me out!

Thank for any help/advice you can share!

Well the question is whether you are hoping for production of this 'cutter'  or you just need to have your design in a cutter and workable for your studio usage.

If you want to do the product/production thing - I would contact Kemper, who makes the clay pattern cutters and see about production. You might also try cookie cutter manufacturers.

If it is just for you, my partner Margot Casstevens and I take thin copper sheeting or used tin cans and cut a strip about 3/4" to an 1" wide and bend it around to our pattern drawing.  A little olive oil on this and they work great for cutting Art Clay.   If you wanted to get really finished with this - you could soft solder the join of the cutter.
