The island of Bali is part of the vast archipelago of islands that make up the nation of Indonesia.

Beads that are sold as "Bali Silver Beads" should be from the island of Bali.  Otherwise someone is being dishonest, sloppy, or both.

There are many "Bali-style" silver beads, which may be from other parts of Indonesia, or really anywhere in the world.

We sell actual Bali-silver beads, bali-style beads made in India, Thai silver beads, and we have a few hill tribes beads left.

The hill tribes beads that we carried, were from the hill tribes of Thailand, I believe near the border of Burma.  They were made of thicker silver than most other silver beads, so were more expensive.  They did receive a brief popularity boost, however, from the movie "The Beach".  Although the movie was bad, the scenery was beautiful, and beads were unique!

Oh - I remembered one more category: Cast U.S.-made Bali-style beads.  Some of the most basic and popular flower beads are reproduced here in the US, eliminating importing delays, and also making them more useable for people who don't like the variance inherent in handmade beads.  I don't have a link to the online store for those, so here's a link to our catalog page: 125.
