Dental picks and scalers are great tools for folks who build wax models for cast jewelry.

I used to stop at a Dental supply house in Missoula to pick up bundles of "seconds" for this purpose. Used, ready to be thrown out tools from your favorite dental office work just as well.  (Your dentist probably already sterilized them - but you should ask.)

For those of us who prefer recycling to spending money, here's something I'm hearing about from various folks...

You can talk to your dentist, or hygienist :icon_37:, about the drill bits/burrs they periodically discard.  If you're able to get some of these, they're a nice, inexpensive tool for bead reaming.  You may want to sterilize them before handling, though!

Personal testimonials from actual dental-equipment-using beaders would be most welcomed!    (How come most smiley faces have no teeth?!)
