I have been thinking about a specific necklace design and lo and behold, I have found a product here that I would like to use if possible.
Question: item44-050-70-04 Sterling Silver Round Link: can this be drilled at the top and at the bottom.  And if so, what tool would I need.  FYI, I took a class in PMC and used a nifty tool that performed this function.  Apparently it's a simple tood (not motorized).  If someone knows - Great!  If not, I will contact my instructors.
Thanks so much - Debra

I've been hoping someone else would know the answer to this one!!

I honestly do not know, but I'd be willing to bet that you can drill it- and that a normal dremel typle tool on a press would work.

If you try the PMC tool- come back and let us know if it worked!!

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Item44-050-70-04 Sterling Silver Round Link: can be drilled but since it is already silver , I think you will need some level of power.
The metal clays can be drilled very easily before they are fired - is this how your instructors did it?

I would approach the drilling with my dremel style tool or my flexshaft tool. You will want to put a small starter dent into the metal to center the drill. I use a center punch for that.
Keep us posted - we love new tools

As Kurt and Mary say, these can be drilled with a small drill bit in a Dremel, flexshaft or drill press.

Make small dimples where you want to hole to be with a spring loaded prick punch or a punch and hammer. The dimple keeps the drill bit from jumping as you start.

When we designed these in Bali we pictured wire wrapping beads inside them and using wire wrap links or jump rings to connect them together.  Maybe the next batch we should ask for part of them drilled with 2 holes?
