To the best of my knowledge, nothing quite like that is available ready-made.

As far as inexpensive adjustable rings, the only thing I can think of is the ũ - Ŭ birthstone rings sold at state fairs.  But the factory that makes the ring, is also putting in the stone, having it plated, and probably also putting 3 dozen in a ring tray. They aren't making any gluable or solderable items for jewelry crafters.

Then there are ring blanks for stone-setting.  Most of these are with prongs, but some are with bezels.  Some are for inlaying.  But virtually none are adjustable.  And most are precious metals, or at least sterling silver.

Perhaps you can figure out a way to make an adjustable ring out of wire, and do a little spiral on the top to glue or solder your items onto?

Then you can use any wire material you want ... Sterling, copper, niobium....

And (with a little practice) they would look a lot nicer than a mass-produced plated adjustable ring blank.

Try some Google searches for "adjustable wire ring" or variations, and see if you find anything inspiring.  We also sell some good wire-working books to help you hone your wire-working skills.

Have you tried the memory wire for rings?  I am waiting for my order now.  I have seen some recently and they seem like alot of fun...

Hi, this is my first post.  I'm so happy I found this place, lots of neat stuff!

I've hunted through the catalog looking for ring bases with no luck. I have found lots of other neat things that I'm going to buy, but I would be so happy if you carried a base for finger rings, possibly one that can be adjusted.  I'm not even sure such a thing exists, I haven't been able to find one any where.  What I'm imagining is something similiar to the bracelet bases that you can glue things to, but a version that is an adjustable ring.

Hmm...anyone ever see something like that before?

I'm not very particular at this moment.  I would like to experiment with a few different types to see how they're compatible with what I want to do.  I mostly am looking for something I can mount to the front of them.   Preferrably something with an adjustable band, that would be low cost.

Another potential direction would be to use Art Clay Silver.  This would take a little time to develop you skill and style but could be a great way to go. The Art Clay, after firing, is pure fine silver so will give you a higher quality jewelry but has attendent costs to go with it.
Book One of the Art Clay books has 2 ring projects [project 8, pg 21; project 12, pg 29, additional ring making instructions on pg 57].  The catalog is #62-319.  The other books have additional ring projects but I would start here.

I actually found blank adjustable nickel rings that work really well with what I'm doing.  Do you have any pictures of examples using the memory wire for rings? I would like to see! ':)'  Thanks for replying.

The Toho Bead company in Japan has some bead rings on their website. They are shown in some of the Toho beading books. Their stores in NYC and HK are supposed to carry them but we've never seen them available for sale to Toho distributors.
