I would love to get directions for making my own bezels for setting faceted and cabbed gems.

These aren't a bezel on a base...I am currently using a product called "wrap-tite" and would like to be able to manufacture my own.

Both of these threads contain bezel making information. THe best quick reference book for you would be "The Complete Metalsmith by Tim McCreight [R&T#62-010]

A traditional bezel would be a  more reliable hold for cabs.  If the cab is deep it is hard to get it to fit those reliably.
