What is the meaning of the name "bamboo coral," and what is its source?
Answer: sea bamboo also call bamboo coral. The position in coral family is like human compare to monkey. Most of call red coral product in U.S. market are use dyed bamboo coral intead of real natural coral. The source is south west part of pacific ocean. Because is light sea can catch so huge quantity and cheaper. Some natural pink coral from deep sea 1800 meters deep, so why so expensive in real coral. How is this coral dyed red? Is it dyed in Taiwan or elsewhere?
Answer: normal used bamboo coral to dyed color. There are two ways to dyed: no.1 water dyed:all the HK or most use. just like dyed your colothing. Good: more cheaper, fast in dyed only one day. Bad: quality unstable many wear and pollute in your white clothing. Always in bad shape. no.2 oil dyed: only few use like us. The liquid is oil and take at least one week all 24 hours. Good: all dyed inside, quality stable , Bad: cost is high. However, more buyers require must oil dyed, because too many customers complaint a lots. No one dyed in Taiwan, because the labour cost too high. In my opinion, only two comanies use oil dyed, one is us. But all are Taiwan companies.

By what exact process is gold coral heated to become gold?
Answer: As you know the coral family is big family. Even the black coral & gold coral are belong the same kinds. In fact, real have gold coral but the color are gold and black mix. But the gold coral process do not like the bamboo coral used dyed powder. We just use the special liquid to make the gold area more shinning not put the new color on. Which is business secret in liquid, I can not tell you. Now, I am thinking to make "silver coral" do you interest?

What efforts are being made to protect coral from eventual extinction?
Answer: the coral history is over thousand years. Now, the protect coral is mean in light sea "coral Reef", because the pollution & temperture change make the coral reef dead so many. The jewelery coral is mean deep sea coral, that normal from hundreds meters to thousand meters deep. Normal, the fishman to catch the deep sea coral are legal, to catch the coral reef for water tank with fish is illegal. Normal the coral use in high luxury jewelery & religion use.

I know many people get confuse in coral, about dyed, natural, protection, price, rescource....
I will try to make clear for you in my ability:

#1 jewelery coral: deep sea coral about hundred to over thousand meters deep. quite expensive. Only in sea, italy, japan, taiwan area. The most expensive is call "A-ka" coral, the material one kilo from U.S.ฟ,000

#2 coral reef: most protect this kind of coral. Because many people get confuse in coral just mix in jewelery & coral reef. The price cheap, normal use in water tank with fish.

#3 sea bamboo also call bamboo coral, in some U.S. online shop also call red coral or dyed red coral. That very cheap, also not environment problem, because that grow so fast and in huge quantity in all. Most of the U.S. market are this kind of product. The quality compare to natural coral just like sky and ground.

#4 resource: from italy, taiwan, japan. in italy area from pin size to finger size only, color from orange to oxblood. In japan, with peach color to oxblood color. In Taiwan, many color, many size, e.g. I have a coral like pen shape, have 12 kilos with three colors. Because that so deep so high cost to catch, some like japan use submarine to catch a whole coral tree. But most of the producer are from Taiwan, because the labour cost is high in japan and italy (europe). only we produce in Asia, so that will be much cheaper.

#5 what different in HK & Taiwan coral: more dyed (bamboo) coral product in U.S. are made from HK, because they all use bamboo coral or shell or sponge or glass to dyed, so make that so cheap, they will not have natural coral. Taiwan are the central of coral business, have a factory in china and just need the marketing to promote that.

#6 protection: so many people get confuse on that, they think the coral just like the ivory must be protected. Yes, I agree that, but not all of them. The int'l law is normal protect in coral reef. The jewelery coral are all find, because the inside is bone and only the skin is alive, so not effect the environment. But the Coral reef is light sea, all the body is alive, most is for tourist holiday heaven.

#7 natural coral is present in art, so many italian design use coral on top design jewelery. Also in Japan or India... they use for medical use. How long the history use in coral, just check the libary, you will know that. In some history culture, they even use coral intead of currency.
