I am interested in the watch design by Tracy Mahuiki that is shown in the design gallery. I wondered if she would share the design instructions.

I thought we had instructions already in another thread but all I am finding is a
discussion
and some basics for this similar bracelet (also by Tracy). See if the discussion helps you- and in the mean time- I will see let tracy know you're asking. -Mary

I found this pattern in The Wire Artist Jeweller magazine. I wish I could remember the issue so you could have access to step by step photos : ( I used our 37-178-1 Giant jump rings with our 26-224-1 basemetal rounds and 37-136-1 medium jump rings to join my links. You put 2 rounds on each giant jump ring and close the ring back up. Then to join 2 links together you use a small jump ring and put both giant rings in the medium. Close the medium ring and you can turn the giant so 1 is under the other, there will be an oval section where the two overlap and the second ring slips in that overlap around both giants. Then you just repeat the pattern to your heats content! : ) If you turn the giant jump ring the same way every time you get the pattern that is on my watch but I have played with turning them different ways so that some are below and then one is raised to give a bit of a different look. Hopefully I am descriptive enough to not leave you frustrated with this because it is a really great chain. - tracy

Just as an FYI, I found this site
http://www.theamulet.ca/2004_issues.html
that shows the July/August 2004 issue containing the empressa chain.

Thanks so much for the help!
I have made the watch and LOVE it. Everyone wants one.
I also found I had the issue of Wire Artist Jeweller. So what a great resource you all are.
