Contest Image Requirements
|
Submitting good-quality digital images is vital to your chances of winning. We know your main concern is creating beautiful jewelry, not photographing it, but if your images don't sufficiently display your artwork's quality, no one will see how great it is!
You will need a camera with a 3.2 megapixel capacity or a scanner that can accommodate 300 dots per inch (dpi).
Image Requirements
- Digital images only (attached to entry form or email)
- Minimum resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch)
- Square images must be at least 1920 x 1920 pixels
- Rectangular images must have one dimension that's at least 1920 pixels
- Saved in JPG file format
- All images combined must be 7 megabytes or less (otherwise we won't receive your entry form, even if you get a message saying we did)
- No text, watermarks or other identifiers in the image (for anonymous judging)
- Maximum 2 images per entry. We recommend one full-piece shot + one closeup (clasp, finishing method, focal, detail of fine workmanship, etc.)
Photography Tips
- Fill as much of the frame as possible with your piece
- Avoid using props or models
- Set up your shots with neutral, solid backgrounds, such as gray or white (avoid loud or distracting backgrounds)
