2007 Contest Guidelines  
 
 
 
  • Entry must be an original work for which you retain all rights, and which you have the legal right to submit to us.
  • Entry must be a newly-made creation.
  • Piece may not be currently entered in another competition or have won any contest in the past.
  • Entry must be primarily made from items purchased or available from Rings & Things, with the exception of found objects and parts you have made (handmade glass beads, your own ceramic pieces, wood carvings, etc.).
  • Entrants under 18 years of age must provide a parent or legal guardian co-signature on a print version of their entry form, ensuring that all guidelines have been read and agreed upon.

  • Pictures must adhere to image guidelines.
  • Disks will not be returned. Physical entries will be photographed or scanned and returned to you the first week of April, or sooner. We are not liable for damaged or lost items (but we'll do our best to be careful!).
  • Limit three entries per person.
  • Entry deadline is (e-mailed or postmarked by) midnight (PST) Monday, March 5, 2007.

  • After submitting your entry, please hold onto your piece until the contest is over. Finalists and winners may be asked to mail in their entry for a professional photo session.
  • Your entry might be moved to another category if we feel it will be better represented in that category.
  • Judging will be based equally on three criteria: originality, craftsmanship and aesthetics.
  • Winners will be contacted the first week of April.
  • Rings & Things employees are not eligible for "Your Designs Rock!"
  • By submitting an entry, you give Rings & Things permission to use images of your piece in print and online publications.
  • Entries that do not follow these guidelines will be disqualified.
