Dawno, you should snap or scan images of "camouflage stone" and email them to me. We always enjoy a puzzle. :) And it could turn into a useful addition to our Gemstone Beads Index!

Green is my favorite color, so I have to be careful that I don't only make green pieces. I found a stone at a local retailer called "camouflage stone" that I have yet to find out if it's a jasper, agate or something else. Do you know? It's got the darker, mossy green and deep almost black and touches of red, but it doesn't look like the bloodstone you show, either... I'd love to get more of it (hint, hint)

Hi beadqueen, somewhere on our site there's also a jewelry design that uses green glass heart beads clustered together to make a neat shamrock. You betcha!

Barbe, you're talking my language. And I wouldn't be surprised if we had some bloodstone and similar stuff like dragon's blood jasper at our Spring bead shows...

fireseed, does this mean you took the idea of the "solar system" necklace & ran with it? Which planet will bloodstone be? And will Pluto be a seed bead?? :)

Hey, I've now added jasper to this post. Some people use it for a birthstone, and it's so versatile that I couldn't resist talking about it.

Hmmm... I'm just wondering how some of these would look with the lava stones you posted earlier - one step closer to the Universe necklace!
