- Gemstone rondelles (also called roundelles and roundels) are a wonderfully versatile gemstone bead shape. Use the smaller sizes as spacer beads and the larger sizes as colorful focal beads and/or textural interest. Smooth varieties are wonderful for showing off the natural markings of the various stones, while faceted varieties offer even more polished sparkle!
- Bicones are sometimes called rondels or rondelles, but they are more conical that the shape that most of us think of as a rondelle. Our bicones are faceted, similar to crystal bicone beads.
- Saucer (or flying saucer) beads are a thinner rondelle or bicone, almost a disk or heishi shape.
- Don't miss out on large-hole roundelle beads (with a 2-2.5mm hole), perfect with add-a-bead components and larger jewelry cording (like leather, 2mm cotton, and hemp cord). We try to keep some "guy-friendly" gemstone colors in the large-hole rondelles, as well as some unusual geometric shapes.
Sometimes we have a few faceted wheel beads in this category too.
