- Designer Tips:
- Use a round bead every inch or so, to give the heishi a natural spot to curve around the wrist. This bracelet uses sections of three 6mm green vinyl heishi, and singles of the other beads.
- String the desired beads, check length, and cut cord so you have about 2" extra at each end.
- Tie a knot between 2 of the larger beads, so the knot can hide inside the larger beads' holes. When knotting, pull the cord tight. You don't want any visible slack, but you also don't want the bracelet to bunch up. For best results, use a surgeon's knot (see page 2 of Basic Jewelry-Making Tips, below) or square knot.
