Our Mexican turquoise beads have a light matrix and vibrant color in various shades of blue and green. We usually get our Mexican turquoise from the Pino Chueco ("Crooked Pine") and Campitos mines in Sonora, Mexico, but because they are not always available, we may sometimes use another Mexican source.
These turquoise beads tend to be similar in color to famed Sleeping Beauty turquoise, but often have pyrite inclusions.
These semiprecious gemstones are unique in that they are found as free-form nuggets in clay material, rather than in rock veins. They have been stabilized. These beads are not always available.
