Fiver and Juliet Necklace Tutorial
Created by: Toni Plastino
Use five-minute cold putty molding compound (#87-041) to create molds with bunny buttons.
Create two clay bunnies. Score the backs and attach (using the water brush) to a circular clay piece which has been imprinted with a rubber stamp design image.
Create the BRONZclay™ pendant and 2 small bead caps according to the manufacturer's instructions. Like most other metal clays, BRONZclay must be fired in a kiln. BRONZclay shrinks approximately 20% from package to finished product. When you create your pieces, keep this in mind.
The pendant was formed over top of a clam shell to make is convex.
Use a salt and ammonia recipe to create the green patina pendant. Instructions can be found in Jinks McGrath book The Jeweler's Directory of Decorative Finishes.
Seal the pendant with Renaissance® wax.
Slide the two spiral tubes into the end of one of the decorative tubes to make one long bead.
Cut the figure-8 chain into the following lengths: two .75", one .5". Slide the .5" and .75' chain pieces inside the tubes and attach jump rings at each end to make connectors.
Connect the filigree connectors back to back, so they each face out.
Cut drawn flattened cable chain into the following lengths: one 7.25", one 7", one 4.25", one 1.5", two .5" pieces.
Use oval jump rings to attach the wrapped loop dangles.
