Apply clear embossing ink to a rubber stamp and stamp the image onto the metal blank.
Apply embossing powder to the blank and shake off the excess powder. This powder can be re-used.
Hold the heat gun 3-4" away from powdered surface. Heat until the embossing powder begins to melt. Look closely to see that the embossing powder turns shiny. This is somewhat hard to see, since the embossing powder is clear.
Once cool, apply patina with a cotton swab. The Novacan black patina provides a sharp contrast to the shiny copper of the embossed image.
Seal the heart with Rennasisance® wax or other sealer.
