Cut the brass sheet into a rectangle (1"x1.75"). Or get creative and cut whatever shape you want.
Mark and pierce the metal and cut two rectangles or squares out of each side of the blank. File any sharp edges.
Use bracelet bending pliers to round the blank.
Cut six 7" pieces (or whatever length you need for your wrist) of lace.
Align the pieces of lace how you want them in the clamp and then instead of using pliers, use a hammer to close the clamp. This way you don't have to try to balance everything in your hand all at once.
After finishing one end of the bracelet, run the lace through one of the holes in the metal piece and then through the other so that the lace is top of the rounded blank.
Add a toggle clasp and attach a decorative charm to the leather with an oval jump ring.
